Editorial Policy
How we write, source, check and correct what you read on mysticlab.app: the guides, the dream dictionary and our app comparisons.
Last updated: 29 September 2026Who writes our content
Our guides and dream-dictionary articles are written and edited by the MysticLab team, the people on our About page. They are published under the MysticLab name rather than a personal byline.
No one on the team is a psychologist, psychotherapist or doctor, and no clinical expert reviews our articles. We write to help you reflect on your dreams and learn how people have read them, not to diagnose or treat anything. If a dream is troubling you, please talk to a qualified professional.
How we use AI
- Articles: many are drafted with the help of AI writing tools. The MysticLab team decides what is published and is responsible for every article, whoever or whatever drafted it.
- Luna: Luna is MysticLab's AI guide, not a person. Her readings in the app and in the free web Dream Analyzer are generated by an AI model from OpenAI when you ask for them; no person writes or reviews them first. They can be wrong or incomplete.
What is sent to OpenAI to write Luna's readings, and when, is on privacy and security.
Sourcing
- Science: a scientific or psychological claim — about sleep, memory or what research has found — names its source (the researcher, study or publication) so you can check it.
- Tradition: traditional, religious and cultural meanings of dream symbols are presented as what a tradition says, not as fact or prediction.
- Nothing invented: we do not make up statistics, testimonials, reviews or ratings.
Some older articles mention research or figures without a full citation. If you find a claim you cannot check, tell us and we will add the source or remove the claim.
App comparisons
When we compare MysticLab with other dream apps, as on our comparison page:
- First-party sources: each app's facts come from its own App Store and Google Play listings, website and privacy policy, linked from the page. No review sites or third-party rankings.
- Dated: the page shows the date those facts were checked.
- Disclosed: the page says that MysticLab publishes it, and MysticLab is judged by the same criteria as the other apps.
- Not for sale: no app pays to be included or ranked, and there are no affiliate links.
Keeping content current
- Facts that change: store prices, ratings and availability are shown with the date we checked them, and we re-check them at least every three months.
- Articles: entries in our dream dictionary and some of our guides show an “Updated” date near the title.
- Legal pages: the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service show the date they last changed, and so does this policy.
