How do I record a dream?
Open the app and tap the button at the centre of the bottom bar. You can type your dream or tap the microphone and simply say it out loud — useful at 3am when typing is the last thing you want to do. Either way you can edit the text before saving.
Write it as you remember it. Fragments are fine; Luna does not need a tidy story.
What is Luna, and what is she not?
Luna is the AI companion who reads your dream, reflects it back, and asks a follow-up question — the meaning usually turns up in your second answer rather than your first.
Luna is a guide for reflection. She is not a therapist and not a clinical tool, and nothing she says is medical or psychological advice. If something in a dream is troubling you, please talk to a qualified professional.
When does Deep Analysis unlock?
After you have recorded 15 dreams. Deep Analysis reads across your whole journal at once — recurring symbols, emotional patterns, and a few things worth trying that week — and it needs enough material to say anything worth reading.
You can see how close you are on the Mood tab. The count is dreams recorded, not days used.
How does voice input work?
Your phone's own speech recognition turns what you say into text. We ask for on-device recognition first; where the phone or the language cannot do that, the phone uses Apple's speech servers on iPhone or Google's on Android. Either way, MysticLab never receives your audio — only the text.
When recognition runs on Apple's or Google's servers, that part is covered by their privacy policy rather than ours. You can always type instead.
What happens to my dreams?
They are encrypted in transit and stored on servers we rent from Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland (EU). When you talk to Luna, your dream and conversation are processed by OpenAI in the United States — only after you agree on the consent screen. Your email address and account ID are not sent to OpenAI.
OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models unless a customer opts in. MysticLab has not opted in. OpenAI may keep API data for up to 30 days to detect abuse, unless the law requires it to keep it longer, and then deletes it. You can withdraw your consent in Settings › Privacy & AI; your dreams are still saved, Luna just stops replying.
Can I export my dreams?
Not in the app yet. Email privacy@mysticlab.app and we will send you a copy of your data.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm, and the deletion happens immediately — there is no waiting period and no separate request to file.
It erases everything: dreams, interpretations, Luna chats, symbols, mood history, and your profile. We do not keep an anonymised copy. Deletion cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, email privacy@mysticlab.app.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. On first launch you can tell Luna one dream as a guest and read her interpretation before deciding whether to sign up.
